| EAC manufactures a very broad line of Position Sensors, many of which are
Underwriters Laboratories tested and approved. In addition to this broad line
of UL approved sensors, EAC has developed over 200 varieties of speciality
position sensors that incorporate features from epoxy selection, wire
insulation, flexible packaging, multi-pole and multi-sensing, micro-miniature,
high power (over 200 watts), high voltage (over 10,000 volts), multi-component
and other types too numerous to mention. |

The above sensor information represents about 20% of the standard sensors
available from EAC. In addition, over 100 variations of each of the above are
available. Contact EAC with your requirements.
Sensors are available with long lead wires, multiple poles, SPST, SPDT, or
DPDT configurations. A variety of other components from LED's to Pushbuttons
can be built into the sensor as required. One can select multiple switch
assemblies, specialized encapsulation to include conformal coating or circuit
board installation and assembly.
Send EAC your specifications be it for flow or level control or even for use
in explosive environments or for underwater applications in addition to
routine burglar alarm usage. We do it all. Contact us with your requirements
and we will send you a free sample for you to evaluate in your application.

| TYPICAL APPLICATIONS |
 |
 |
|
Applications are boundless. The Actuator is usually mounted in the moving
article, something that goes round and round or has movement back and forth or
up and down. When the Actuator arrives in the vicinity of the Sensor, the reed
switch either closes or opens depending upon the Sensor design and causes a
change in the voltage applied through the Sensor. As the Actuator leaves the
vicinity of the Sensor, the contacts of the reed switch revert to the original
condition and cause a change of the voltage applied through the contact back to
the original condition.
An elevator shaft can have a Sensor at each floor and an Actuator on the
elevator. When the elevator moves up or down it announces it's arrival by the
Actuator closing the Sensor contacts and lighting a lighted pushbutton. A
Sensor mounted next to a car's driveshaft can be actuated by an Actuator on the
Drive Shaft, the signal fed to some electronics and a car speed control
results. A Sensor is mounted into a door frame and the Actuator is mounted
into the door. When the door opens, an alarm rings. And there's more....
One's imagination is the limit when it comes to Sensor Useage. Call EAC for
help in imagination stretching.
Together we will design a free sample for you to make imagination become
reality.

| SENSORS MADE TO ORDER |
 |
 |
EAC's Position Sensors utilize switches that are Underwriters Laboratories
listed. This means that in effect, these switches have been type tested for
adherence to specifications. In addition, many of EAC's Position Sensors bear
the mark of Underwriters Laboratories signifying that the entire Sensor has been
listed.
Position Sensors are devices constructed utilizing just a reed switch by
itself or are of several items to include epoxy, wire, a plastic case, a reed
switch, and some solder. It may sound simple to construct, but each sensor must
perform exactly like others in a particular catalog series. This means that
wires must be exactly the same length, switch sensitivity from one sensor to the
other must be identical, epoxy must be uniform and consistent from batch to
batch and so on.
EAC's over 35 years in business is a result of only one thing and that is
quality. EAC has a reputation of being able to supply to our customers
consistent quality of product from year to year. This means that when you
select a Position Sensor from EAC, what you buy today will be the same thing
when you buy it tomorrow or some other time. We do not make changes to the
product that you buy from us.
