GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The tubular reed relay offers many design application advantages. Due to its unique packaging design, many of the electrical and physical characteristics of this reed relay are far superior when compared to standard reed relay configurations. One of the EAC advantages is our method of winding the coil directly on the reed relay capsule. This offers many improved electrical characteristics due to the increased efficiency. The result of this increased efficiency is very low typical contact resistance as well as faster operations. The molded end flange allows for high volume production capabilities and is the real secret of the EAC tubular line. The epoxy end seals insure environmental protection. The nickel plated steel jacket (the outer protective shell) provides magnetic shielding as well as protection against the environment. Axial leads permit a variety of mounting configurations which PC board designers find desirable.
